Infinity War Superfan Got Invited To The Avengers 4 Premiere
After over a month in theaters, Avengers: Infinity War is inching its way to a coveted $2 billion in the worldwide box office. While the majority of critics and typical moviegoers seem to have enjoyed the movie, Marvel fans have been head over heels for the Avengers flick. One fan in particular has helped contribute a fair amount to the films box office take. Nem (his social media name) has seen Avengers: Infinity War over 40 times. And with his story going viral, Marvel has decided to give the guy's wallet a break and treat him to the world premiere of Avengers 4.
Tony "Nem" Mitchell is a YouTuber who gained lots of attention in the press this week after his journey to see Avengers: Infinity War every day until it was removed from the lineup at his local theater. At the time of writing, Nem has seen Infinity War a whopping 46 times. That's a crazy amount of showings to see just one movie, and Nem is getting a seriously cool award for his dedication. The directors of Infinity War, Joe and Anthony Russo, have taken notice of Nem and have decided to help give him a head start on watching Avengers 4.
Nem shared the news via Twitter, stating that the Russo Brothers sent him a direct message letting him know that he will be getting a free ticket to the world premiere of Avengers 4 next year. For a clear superfan like Nem, that's a hugely awesome gift, and it will no doubt be a night to remember. The untitled Avengers 4 is supposed to be even more shocking than Infinity War, so Nem likely can't wait for May 2019. Hopefully, Avengers 4 is just as exciting as Infinity War and Nem will be going to see it at least 50 more times.
That's not the only gift Nem has received in the wake of his viral journey. IMAX decided to give him a reward for his patronage in the form of 50 free tickets to any showing of his choosing. Rather than take his time, Nem announced on Twitter that he wants to spend his years worth of tickets bringing 49 people to a showing of Ant-Man and the Wasp. That's pretty cool of him! People are no doubt curious to see how Ant-Man and the Wasp will handle the ending of Infinity War, which should hopefully give the superhero movie a little boost in viewership.
Maybe you didn't see it 46 times, but Avengers: Infinity War is still playing in some theaters, so it can't hurt to see it just one more time could it? Otherwise, there's plenty else coming to theaters soon, which you can find in our handy release guide.
